Bitcoin has spent the week arguing with itself, and honestly, so has everyone watching it.
One camp says the bull market is back. The other says the run up to 87,000 dollars was a trap, the kind of move designed to pull in late buyers just before the floor gives way. Over the next few days, and almost certainly by Monday or Tuesday, we are going to find out which camp was right. The answer could set the direction of this market for a long time.
What makes this moment interesting is that both sides have a clear case, and both sides have a line in the sand. Here is how the week sets up.

The bear case: lose the lows, and it gets ugly fast
The bears have had the louder voice in recent days, and their logic is simple. If Bitcoin pushes through

79,300 dollars and keeps going the wrong way, the next real stop sits around 76,400 dollars.
Below that, things get serious. This week's low is not just any low. It is sitting right around Bitcoin's 200-day moving average, the line traders have respected for years as the border between a healthy market and a broken one. The level that really matters is 75,000 dollars. Slip under there and the selling could accelerate hard, with 69,000 dollars suddenly in play.
And here is the part worth paying attention to: 69,000 is not necessarily a buying opportunity. A lot of traders look at a round, obvious level like that and assume it must be support. But if price arrives there in a panic, falling fast through the 69,000 to 67,000 zone, buying it is catching a falling knife. The more patient play, if the market really does break down, is to wait for far lower levels, somewhere in the 51,000 to 43,000 dollar region, or to wait for Bitcoin to prove itself again by reclaiming the 78,500 area. Discipline beats bravery in a falling market.
The bull case: everything runs through 78,500
Now the other side. Bitcoin has a dense cluster of important technical levels packed into a narrow band between roughly 78,400 and 78,600 dollars. That is the battlefield. Everything this weekend runs through it.

If Bitcoin can push back above that band and, more importantly, stay there and get accepted there, the picture changes quickly. The next level to watch is 81,000 dollars. That is where bulls tried and failed to stabilise price earlier this week, so reclaiming it would mean far more than a nice green candle. It would mean the buyers have actually taken control, not just visited.
Watch how price behaves around these levels rather than the first move itself. A quick spike above 78,600 that gets sold straight back down tells you one thing. A slow, stubborn hold above it tells you the opposite.
The quiet clue: Ethereum and the altcoins are not collapsing
Here is the observation that tilts the whole thing. While everyone argues about Bitcoin, Ethereum is holding comfortably above 2,200 dollars, and a lot of the major altcoins simply have not broken down. In a market that was genuinely about to fall apart, the altcoins usually crack first. They have not.
If Ethereum can move back above 2,440 dollars, that would be an early sign of real stabilisation, and it could open the door to a much bigger move towards 3,120 dollars. Healthy altcoins do not guarantee Bitcoin goes up. But they do make the total collapse scenario harder to believe, and they quietly tilt the odds in favour of the bulls.
The bottom line
So it comes down to one zone and one deadline. If Bitcoin reclaims the 78,400 to 78,600 dollar area this weekend and holds above it into Monday, the bulls are in charge and 81,000 is next. If it loses the week's low and breaks 75,000, step aside and let it fall.
By Monday, possibly Tuesday, the market will have shown its hand. Until then, the smartest trade might be no trade at all, just a clear head and these levels written down.

Key levels at a glance:
- Resistance and trigger zone: 78,400 to 78,600 dollars
- Bull confirmation: hold above that zone, then 81,000 dollars
- Danger level: 75,000 dollars
- Bear targets if 75,000 breaks: 69,000, then potentially 51,000 to 43,000 dollars
- Ethereum: holding above 2,200 dollars; above 2,440 opens the way towards 3,120 dollars
